| Stage 1 – Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025: Candidates must have appeared in and obtained a valid score card from the PET-2025 conducted by UPSSSC. Shortlisting for the Main Examination will be based on normalized scores of PET-2025. Candidates with zero or negative scores are not eligible. Stage 2 – Main Written Examination: A single objective-type, multiple-choice question paper consisting of 100 questions for 100 marks with a duration of 2 hours (120 minutes). There is a negative marking of 25% (0.25 marks) for each wrong answer. The exam is divided into 3 parts covering General Studies, Computer & IT, and UP State General Knowledge. Stage 3 – Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document/record verification. Candidates will be required to provide preference of posts at this stage. No Interview: Selection is based on written examination merit as per the UP Group ‘C’ Direct Recruitment (Interview Abolished) Rules, 2017. Final allocation of posts will be based on merit, post availability, educational qualification for the post, and age limit, as per the preference given by the candidate. | |||||||||
