| Preliminary Written Examination (Objective/MCQ) One paper of 200 marks, 100 questions, duration 2 hours. Topics: English, General Knowledge, Hindi Language, Reasoning, and Current Affairs. Each correct answer: 2 marks. Candidates scoring less than 30% will not be considered for the Main Exam. Candidates up to 10 times the number of vacancies (category-wise, merit-based) will be shortlisted for the Main Exam. | |||||||||
| Main Written Examination Paper 1 (Objective/MCQ) 200 questions, 200 marks, 3 hours. Subjects: General Studies & Current Affairs (50 marks), Mathematics & Quantitative Aptitude (40 marks), Reasoning & Analytical Ability (40 marks), English Language (20 marks), Hindi Language (20 marks), General Knowledge of Bihar (30 marks). Negative marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer. Paper 2 (Descriptive) 50 marks, 1 hour. Subjects: Hindi Essay (15 marks), English Essay (15 marks), English Precis (10 marks), Hindi to English Translation (10 marks). Minimum 30% marks required in each paper. | |||||||||
