| Rate of stipend payable to apprentices per month shall be as prescribed under Apprentices Act, 1961/1973/ Apprentices Rules 1992 (as amended) and Corporation’s guidelines. | |||||||||
| Selection Procedure | |||||||||
| No Written Test: There shall be no written examination for selection. Merit-Based Selection: Selection shall be based on the percentage of marks in descending order (aggregate of marks of all subjects of all years/semesters) obtained in the prescribed qualification applicable to the trade applied for. Preference: Preference shall be given to candidates applying for apprenticeship training for the first time. Tie-Breaking: In case of a tie in percentage of marks, the date of birth (senior by age) shall be the deciding factor. If date of birth is also the same, the candidate with a higher percentage of marks in Matriculation shall be ranked higher. PwBD Candidates: Candidates belonging to PwBD categories who have availed relaxation in eligibility qualification marks will be considered against reserved seats, irrespective of their position in the select list (in order of merit within the category). Document Verification: Candidates shortlisted based on merit list shall be called for Document Verification with original documents and self-attested copies. Pre-Engagement Medical Fitness: Only candidates declared medically fit as per the Apprentices Act standards shall be considered for final engagement. Final Offer: Candidates whose documents and pre-engagement medical fitness certificate are found in order shall be issued an offer of engagement. | |||||||||
