Selection Procedure
1. Objective Type Test (Multiple Choice Questions): Duration: 1½ hours; Maximum Marks: 100; Minimum Qualifying Marks: 50. Contains 100 questions covering General English (20), General Aptitude (15), General Knowledge (15), Provisions relating to Judiciary in the Constitution of India (15), Supreme Court Rules 2013 (10), Supreme Court Officers and Servants (Conditions of Service and Conduct) Rules 1961 (10), and Computer Knowledge (15). Negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. Tentatively scheduled on 20th November, 2026.

2. Typing Speed Test on Computer (English Language): Duration: 50 minutes; Maximum Marks: 25; Minimum Qualifying Marks: 13. Minimum speed of 35 w.p.m. with maximum 3% mistakes allowed. Conducted in Delhi/NCR. Mandatory to qualify.

3. Written Test (Descriptive) in English Language: Duration: 2 hours; Maximum Marks: 100; Minimum Qualifying Marks: 50. Consists of Comprehension passage, Precis Writing, and Essay Writing. Conducted in Delhi/NCR. Evaluated only for candidates who qualify the Typing Speed Test.

4. Interview: Maximum Marks: 25; Minimum Qualifying Marks: 13. Conducted either online or in physical mode in Delhi. Ratio of 1:3 against tentative vacancies for shortlisting.

Shortlisting Criteria: If a large number of candidates qualify the Objective Type Test (50 marks or more), candidates will be shortlisted for the second stage at a ratio of 1:10 against tentative vacancies based on merit.
