| Stage 1: Stenography Test Voice Test before Dictation: 2 Minutes Speed Test in Shorthand: 100 words per minute (700 words total), Duration: 7 minutes Computer Testing: 3 Minutes given to candidates for testing the computer Transcription: 25 Minutes for transcription of the dictated portion in computer Stage 2: Written Test (70 Marks, 1½ hours) Candidates equal to 10 times the vacancies (1:10) who have qualified in the Stenography Test securing minimum 30 marks shall be called for the Written Test. Objective type (OMR based) multiple choice questions on:English Language Proficiency: 50 marks Official Language of Assam (Assamese): 20 marks Both segments are of qualifying nature; candidates must secure 40% marks in each segment to qualify. Stage 3: Viva-Voce (10 Marks) Candidates qualifying in the Written Test shall be called in the ratio (1:3) in order of merit in the Stenography Test. The final merit position will be determined on the basis of total marks obtained in the Stenography Test and Viva-Voce. | |||||||||
